Michele Green MD Featured in NY Times Article

Dr. Michele Green MD was mentioned in today’s NY Times in an article titled “Fight Against Colorism Takes On Amazon: Beauty ‘Cannot Be One Skin Color’” which looked at how dermatologists widely prescribe hydroquinone for patients dealing with scars, hyper-pigmentation and melasma.

She notes that “Bleaching creams are really efficient and really useful, and I prescribe them all the time,” but some people misuse them. In addition to that, many people ask about skin-lightening injections and other treatments. “Generally speaking, I don’t treat those patients,” and she notes that “it is a psychological issue and I’m not going to treat someone, for that it is a dangerous slope.”
