Everyday Health: FDA Proposes Regulation Change for Over The Counter Sunscreen
Everyday Health looked at the proposed rule (set for November 2019 if approved) that would bring sunscreens currently available over-the-counter more up-to-date on the basis of new research. It would also label certain ingredients as unsafe.
The article, titled “FDA Proposes Regulation Change for OTC Sunscreen” features Dr. Michele Green who noted that “when the FDA announced that it was going to change and regulate more of the safety of nonprescription sunscreens and their active ingredients, it was a big hoopla. And then nothing happened. This proposed regulation has been coming for years.”
