Best Moisturizers for Dry Skin & Facial Moisturizers (U.S. News & World Report Feature)
U.S. News and World Report spoke to some of the top dermatologists about products for dry skin overall. Dr. Green was featured several times in the article, but if you are looking for a clear winner, she notes that “no one moisturizer or brand is the best for dry skin,” as everyone has different needs. “However, the best products for dry skin will contain humectants such as hyaluronic acid and glycerin as well as moisturizing ingredients such as ceramides.”
Avoiding potential irritants such as fragrances, parabens, sulfates and alcohols – all of which “have been proven to be harsh, irritating and drying on the skin,” is another key factor. She talks about latest products from Aquaphor, along with other top brands like Cetaphil, Eucerin and CeraVe, the latter of which is owned by L’Oréal.
