Dr. Green Discusses Stress Lines And Xeomin With Cosmopolitan
Cosmopolitan examines stress lines in their new article “Stress Lines and Wrinkles: How to Prevent Them, Plus 8 Best Treatments“. Stress lines are not only caused from stress but other factors such as aging, sun exposure, smoking and yes… chronic stress! Whilst reducing stress can help prevent stress lines from forming, at-home treatments such as retinol, sunscreen and antioxidants can help. There are also professional treatment options for stress lines including radiofrequency which Dr. Green explains “Thermage is a gold-standard anti-aging treatment due to its ability to tighten the skin, improve skin texture, and give a lifting effect like a mini facelift”.
Dr. Green also discussed the differences between Xeomin and Botox with Cosmopolitan in their article “How Xeomin Smooths Fine Lines and Wrinkles, According to Dermatologists”. Both Xeomin and Botox are brand names and work as neuromodulators to reduce wrinkles with the same active ingredient of botulinum toxin type A. However they differ in many aspects such as how long they last and how quickly they take effect. Dr. Green states “Xeomin has been shown to be effective for up to six months, while Botox typically lasts three to four months. Although, the duration of Xeomin and Botox effects also depends on the individual’s metabolism rate”.
