Dr. Green has recently been interviewed by RealSelf News who are interested in the subject of retinol, and has asked the question whether it is possible to consume it as a part of your daily food and vitamin intake.

Retinol is used as an ingredient in skincare products that can be used to help minimize fine lines and wrinkles. We normally think of retinol as an ingredient that is applied to the skin directly in skin care moisturizers and creams.

As Dr. Green discusses in this article, retinol is another name for vitamin A so it can indeed be consumed as a part of our diet. The recommendation isn’t to start eating your retinol skin-care creams but instead to consume foods that are rich in vitamin A. Some of the foods that fall into this category include: broccoli, spinach, eggs, dairy products and fruits such as apricots, and mangos.
