Can Disinfectant Wipes Work in Place of Hand Sanitizer: Live Strong

Live Strong magazine asks a group of doctors about hand sanitizers and wipes in the article “How Bad Is It Really to Use Disinfecting Wipes on Your Hands if You Don’t Have Sanitizer?”

Dr. Michele Green notes that if you have a skin condition, it may not be a good idea to replace hand sanitizer with disinfectant wipes, for example “If you have an open sore, eczema, psoriasis or sensitive skin, you could have a very bad reaction from using these wipes to clean your hands” – and of course where soap is an option, that should be the first choice.
