The Best Science-Backed Way to Stop Chafing: Time Magazine

Dr. Michele Green was quoted in Time Magazine this week, at “The Best Science-Backed Way to Stop Chafing” – where they look at how to avoid it overall, how to treat it and when it might be worth seeing a dermatologist.  Chafing is most common on the inner thighs, especially during sweaty summer months – however it can occur anywhere on the body, especially where friction is likely, such as under your arms or breasts, and around your backside or groin.

Well fitting clothing can help and mild chafing symptoms will usually improve in a few days, Dr. Green says in the article, also noting that one can soothe the irritation by applying aloe vera gel, coconut oil, or over-the-counter antibiotic cream.
