Dr Green Recommends Skin Care Products on Self.com
Jessica Cruel of Self.com interviewed various top RealSelf dermatologists in early May, both for a list of “Dermatologists’ Favorite Drugstore Products for Sensitive Skin” and “25 Antiaging Skin-Care Products Dermatologists Actually Use Themselves.”
The lists focus on cleansers and moisturizers that are low on irritating ingredients (like parabens, sulfates, and fragrance). But in addition to that, they are all affordable, accessible and available locally.
Some of Dr. Green’s top recommendations included the:
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash – “This is a good body wash because it doesn’t strip the skin and leave it dry like most body washes do”
Simple Micellar Cleansing Water – “Micellar waters have taken the beauty world by storm and for good reason,” says Dr. Green. “They’re less harsh than oils and do a great job of removing makeup. They’re often fragrance free which is often an irritant for sensitive skin.”
And for anti-aging products, beyond the use of sunscreen, you should also try the following:
MG Skin Labs Vita-C Serum – “Vitamin C is a wonderful serum for patients with brown or red spots and the onset of fine lines,” says Dr. Green. This product is available on our site too.
ROC Retinol Correxion Sensitive Eye Cream – Recommended for sensitive-skin types.
Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer SPF 30 – Dr. Green uses this retinol product daily to help reduce mottled patches and boost collagen production.
