Readers Digest Asks Dr. Green about Facial Skin Care
Readers Digest interviews Dr. Michele Green and talks about Various “Face-Washing Mistakes You Didn’t Realize You Were Making”. Dr. Green discusses how using the wrong water temperature can be an issue – “Water that’s too hot will dry your skin, while cold water won’t let your pores open”, and that tepid water, “Not too hot and not too cold” is the ideal combination.
She also mentions facial wipes, which are better than nothing, but should not be relied on because “they don’t clean the skin and they have chemicals.” In addition to that, scrubbing off facial skin too vigorously is not necessary. “You don’t want to scrub it off—that’s a myth,” Dr. Green says. “With the right cleanser, you shouldn’t have to scrub hard.”
