In many cases, Juvederm requires one treatment – and this can last from 9 to 12 months. Common side effects may include tenderness, as well as redness and bumps that can occur in most patients, along with light bruising. The injections take up to two weeks to heal. We always advise patients to discontinue taking Advil, Aleve, Motrin, or any other blood thinners including vitamins and fish oil, for up to 2 weeks before the injections. There are also some potential allergy issues such as patients who have an allergy to Lidocaine. In all cases a consultation with Dr. Green should be set up beforehand. One should also inform Dr. Green if they are using any prescription medications and provide a detailed history of cosmetic procedures.
The Juvederm procedure itself may also cause some discomfort, and in some cases, an anesthetic may be applied to help numb the area. Overall though, the injection process takes under 30 minutes, and the procedure can easily be scheduled in your busy day, such as after work or during your lunch break.

How much does Juvederm Cost?
This depends highly on where you want to apply this and how deep the wrinkles you are looking to treat are, but the average syringe / application is $800-1200 per, but that said, deeper procedures may require two or more syringes, and then this will cause the price to increase per syringe. This procedure lasts up to one year.
