Celebrities by and large are reticent to admit when they have had plastic surgery or any procedure done to alter themselves. It’s almost like a badge of honor to say that they have never gone under the knife, or that they are “all natural.” However, while some celebrities might not be open to admitting that they have had even non-invasive things done, there are some that are completely transparent about anything and everything. Two common and popular procedures that have become more public in recent years are CoolSculpting and Thermage, both of which have celebrity followings.
The Kardashian’s are a notable celebrity family that document their lives on TV and have even shown procedures on TV. Kris Jenner did the CoolSculpting procedure with a friend, Gretchen Rossi also documented the procedure on her fiancé Slade Smiley, while supermodel Molly Sims did an interview with Vanity Fair explaining what she had done. There are also rumors of several other celebrities having it done.
CoolSculpting is a fat melting procedure that works by “freezing fat” off the body. It can be done on multiple body parts, but it is not a weight loss procedure – although one can experience the benefit of losing inches and fat.
In one session there can be up to a 20% reduction in fat, and in addition to that, CoolSculpting can be performed multiple times on the same area in order to increase this reduction. The beauty of CoolSculpting is that it has no down time which is particularly important for celebrities who want to keep that they’ve had anything done under wraps. You can get back to work immediately after.
Celebrities using Thermage
Another popular procedure that celebrities have admitted doing is a treatment called Thermage which stimulates your body’s own collagen and has been touted as the “non-surgical facelift”. As you age, your body loses collagen in your skin, causing visible wrinkles and sagging. Thermage® gives you tighter, smoother skin, softens fine lines and wrinkles, and helps you look younger without any incisions or surgery by boosting your body’s natural collagen production. The procedure can be used nearly anywhere on the face or body for a nonsurgical “lift” that firms and tightens loose skin while simultaneously eliminating unwanted fat.
Both Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston have said that they enjoy the effects of Thermage. Gwenyth Paltrow said in an interview that although she found it a little painful that it was worth it since she felt like she looked five years younger. Jennifer Aniston also mentioned Thermage in her 2016 interview with Instyle Magazine. And like CoolSculpting, Thermage is completely non-invasive and has no downtime involved whatsoever.
